Claims Service Manager – Commercial Risk

This is a hybrid role based in our Glasgow office, offering the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Glasgow office.

What the day will look like
As a Claims Service Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in leading a team of claims professionals while providing technical expertise across Commercial Risk claims. Working closely with clients, colleagues and key stakeholders, you'll help ensure exceptional service delivery, strong regulatory compliance and positive business outcomes.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading the delivery of a high-quality, innovative claims service for Commercial Risk clients, ensuring client expectations and service standards are consistently met.
- Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, proactively resolving issues and supporting the delivery of outstanding claims outcomes.
- Providing technical guidance and expertise across a broad range of commercial insurance classes, including property, casualty, motor and financial lines.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing team members to achieve both personal and business objectives.
- Promoting a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture focused on continuous improvement.
- Driving operational efficiencies, supporting business change initiatives and identifying opportunities to improve processes and profitability.
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, audit standards and Aon policies, while championing risk management and ethical conduct.
- Contributing to claims strategy, business planning and leadership initiatives alongside the wider Claims leadership team.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Extensive experience handling UK Commercial Insurance claims, supported by a strong understanding of insurance market dynamics.
- Proven people leadership experience with a track record of motivating, developing and managing successful teams.
- Strong technical knowledge across key commercial insurance classes, including Property, Casualty, Motor and Financial Lines.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
- A flexible, organised and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
