Professional Indemnity Claims Adjuster
Location: Leeds
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Hours: Full-time
Overview
Our client, an international insurer, is seeking a Professional Indemnity Claims Adjuster to manage a dedicated caseload of Professional Indemnity / Errors & Omissions claims for multinational customers, with claim values up to £500,000.
You will use your PI / E&O claims expertise to investigate, assess and resolve claims, while working with colleagues and stakeholders internationally. The role also offers the opportunity to become a technical point of contact, share knowledge with colleagues and develop broader multinational claims experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage a personal caseload of PI / E&O claims, ensuring effective progression in line with internal and regulatory standards.
- Assess, validate and resolve claims using technical expertise, sound judgement and clear decision-making.
- Act as a subject matter expert for PI / E&O claims and provide guidance on complex queries.
- Support colleagues through knowledge sharing, coaching and training.
- Liaise with customers, colleagues and international stakeholders to gather information and support positive claims outcomes.
- Maintain accurate claims records and ensure actions are fully recorded in relevant systems.
- Identify and escalate risks or issues appropriately.
- Develop wider technical capability by taking on claims from additional lines of business over time.

Requirements
- Experience and understanding of Professional Indemnity / Errors & Omissions claims.
- Strong investigation and negotiation skills.
- Good analytical and decision-making ability.
- Ability to support and guide colleagues on technical claims matters.
- Strong relationship management skills and confidence working independently.
- Good organisation and workload management skills.
- Comfortable handling data and producing reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
