About The Role

The Claims Specialist - Insurance role in Bristol involves managing claims from initial notification through to resolution, ensuring policyholders receive fair and consistent treatment. Working with Pertemps Bristol Commercial, you will apply your prior experience as a Claims Handler or Assessor to investigate cases, make reasoned decisions, and communicate clearly with customers.

This full-time, permanent position offers a salary of £26,000 per annum plus a bonus of up to 20%. The working pattern is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with hybrid arrangements requiring three days in the office and two days from home. Joining an established insurance business, you will handle a varied caseload, prioritising accuracy and customer satisfaction throughout each claim's lifecycle.

We're recruiting for a Claims Specialist to join a successful and well-established insurance business in Bristol. Working within a supportive team environment, you'll manage claims from start to finish, ensuring customers receive a fair, efficient, and professional service throughout their journey.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with insurance claims experience who enjoys problem-solving, decision-making, and delivering outstanding customer outcomes.


The Role

As a Claims Specialist, you'll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of insurance claims from initial notification through to final settlement.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Managing claims throughout the full lifecycle
  • Reviewing information and assessing claims against policy terms and guidelines
  • Making fair and accurate decisions while maintaining regulatory compliance
  • Keeping customers informed throughout the claims process
  • Liaising with third parties and relevant professionals when required
  • Investigating and resolving customer queries and complaints
  • Maintaining accurate case records and documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with FCA regulations and data protection requirements

About You

We're Interested In Hearing From Candidates With

  • Previous experience in a Claims Handler, Claims Assessor, Claims Specialist or similar insurance claims role
  • A strong understanding of insurance claims processes and procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • A positive, customer-focused approach
  • Confidence making decisions and working independently
