Claims Support Specialist
📍 Rochester, NY (100% Onsite)
⏰ Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
💲 $15-$16/hour
📅 6-Month Contract
Job Description
We're seeking a Claims Support Specialist to provide administrative and customer service support within a busy claims department. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to grow their office and customer service experience in a professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls and assist customers with claims-related inquiries
- Enter new claim information and update claim records
- Process and maintain claim documentation and confidential files
- Perform administrative tasks including filing, scanning, copying, faxing, and mail distribution
- Support claims staff with follow-up activities and day-to-day administrative needs
- Verify customer information and provide basic claim support
- Greet and direct visitors as needed
- Assist with general office operations and coordination
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a phone-based environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
- Previous customer service, call center, administrative, receptionist, or office support experience preferred
- Entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Rochester, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
