Overview of Business

We are partnered with a leading UK housebuilder to appoint a Claims Surveyor into its Building Safety claims function.

The team is responsible for recovering costs associated with historic building defects across a substantial residential portfolio. This role will support a live workstream of structural-design claims, with several matters progressing through negotiation, mediation and litigation.

Job description

Reporting into the Building Safety claims team, you will play a key role in preparing and coordinating the commercial evidence needed to support defect-recovery claims. You will work across technical, commercial, finance and legal teams to gather cost information, prepare quantum documentation and support the progression of claims from initial assessment through to settlement or litigation.

This is a hands-on opportunity for a commercially minded Quantity Surveying or claims professional who is comfortable taking ownership in a complex, fast-moving environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
