Claims Third Party Management, Delegated Claims Senior Oversight Analyst

Job Family Grouping: Claims
Job Family: Delegated Claims

How does this role contribute to our collective success?

AXIS has a regulatory obligation to ensure that third party companies comply with minimum standards for the handling of claims where there is a Delegated Claims Authority (DCA). This role plays a key part in strengthening the oversight, governance, and performance management of TPAs and Coverholders with delegated claims authority. It supports the end-to-end lifecycle of delegated claims relationships, including onboarding, due diligence, contract management, performance monitoring, audit coordination, issue management, loss fund oversight, and governance reporting.

The role is expected to provide informed analysis, identify trends and areas for enhancement, support risk-based decision making, and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure delegated claims arrangements remain effective, well controlled, and focused on delivering fair, timely, and consistent outcomes for customers.

What will you do in this role?

  • Lead and support the onboarding of new third-party claims relationships, including completion and assessment of due diligence requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain DCA contracts, schedules, authority limits, service standards, and related documentation for TPAs and Coverholders.
  • Provide ongoing oversight of third-party performance, using management information, audit findings, complaints, customer feedback, service levels, and claims data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Analyse delegated claims performance and produce clear reporting for internal governance meetings, including insights, emerging themes, escalations, and recommended enhancement actions.
  • Coordinate third-party audit scheduling, working with internal stakeholders and external audit providers to ensure audit activity is risk-based, proportionate, and aligned to governance requirements.
  • Review, issue, and track audit recommendations through to closure, ensuring progress is monitored, evidence is obtained, and material issues are appropriately escalated.
  • Maintain and monitor the DCA Register and related records across relevant systems, ensuring data is accurate, complete, and capable of supporting effective oversight and reporting.
  • Support risk-based oversight of TPAs and Coverholders, including review of performance against agreed standards, authority limits, customer outcome expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee loss fund arrangements, including monitoring, reporting, reconciliation support, and escalation of issues where appropriate.
  • Act as a key point of contact for delegated claims stakeholders, building effective relationships with Claims, Underwriting, Delegated Underwriting, Compliance, Finance, TPAs, Coverholders, and other relevant partners.
  • Support continuous improvement across delegated claims processes, including opportunities to improve efficiency, management information quality, governance evidence, and customer outcome monitoring.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of delegated claims frameworks, procedures, controls, and reporting disciplines.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues on delegated claims processes, standards, and oversight expectations.
  • You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
