Class 1 Trip Drivers – ADR

Location: Mallusk or Armagh

Job Type: Full-Time, perm

We are currently recruiting Class 1 Trip Drivers (ADR) to join our growing transport operation.

Opportunities Are Available For

UK trip work

Based from Mallusk or Armagh, successful candidates will join a professional transport team operating throughout Ireland and the UK.


Work Pattern

Week 1

  • Sunday night departure
  • Tuesday night departure
  • Thursday night departure
  • 3 trips completed

Week 2

  • Monday night departure
  • Wednesday night departure
  • 2 trips completed

Typical Trip

  • Collect trailer in Craigavon at 21:00
  • Complete loading in Lisburn
  • Sail on the 03:30 Belfast to Cairnryan ferry
  • Drive to customer site in Haydock
  • Tip and drop trailer
  • Take daily rest break
  • Collect reloaded trailer at approximately 22:30
  • Sail on the 03:30 Cairnryan to Belfast ferry
  • Deliver to Nutts Corner
  • Return trailer to Craigavon

Pay & Benefits

  • Up to £2,000 annual bonus earned through performance and attendance (calculated over 46 weeks)

Duties

  • Operate HGV vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic regulations and company procedures
  • Carry out pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
  • Load and secure cargo correctly to prevent damage during transit
  • Deliver goods to designated locations while meeting delivery schedules
  • Maintain accurate records, including mileage, fuel usage and delivery documentation
  • Communicate effectively with the Operations Team
  • Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained, reporting any defects promptly

Experience & Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year’s driving experience preferred
  • ADR licence advantageous but not essential
  • Good knowledge of Irish transport routes
  • Strong time management skills and punctuality
  • Professional attitude with a high standard of vehicle care, cleanliness and respect for equipment
