Class 1 Delivery Driver
Location: Daventry

We're looking for a Class 1 Delivery Driver to join our team in Daventry, delivering hazardous chemicals safely and efficiently to customers across the UK. You'll play a vital role in maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service while supporting critical operations nationwide.
Role Responsibilities
- Safely deliver hazardous chemicals to customer sites across the UK through palletised deliveries and bulk transfers into customer storage tanks.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, maintain accurate tachograph records, and ensure compliance with all driver legislation and company procedures.
- Load, secure, and verify deliveries against manifests to ensure products are transported safely and correctly.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety, COSHH, ADR, and Standard Operating Procedures, including emergency spill response processes.
- Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues, ensuring clear communication and providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Liaise with production planners and operational teams, proactively communicating delays, issues, or changes to delivery schedules.
- Support warehouse activities when required, including forklift operation and IBC inspections.
- Manage delivery routes and workloads effectively to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role:
- Class 1 or Class 2 licence and a full UK driving licence.
- Previous experience transporting hazardous goods, with a strong understanding of chemical handling and transportation regulations.
- Forklift Counterbalance licence, or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience operating material handling equipment in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid ADR Licence (training provided)
