Have you got thousands of miles under your belt and experience you can bring to a busy transport operation? Would you like to join a transport operation that helps keep one of the UK's largest retail supply chains moving? Are you ready to take the wheel in your next permanent driving role?

Here at GXO Bradford, we are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our transport team supporting M&S food deliveries. You will play an important part in getting products to stores safely, accurately and on time, while providing the professional and courteous service our customer expects.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on an ‘any 4 days out of 7’ pattern, contracted to 44 hours per week. We are currently recruiting for the following start time windows:

  • Any 4 days out of 7, with start time windows of 00:01 to 06:00
  • Any 4 days out of 7, with start time windows of 06:00 to 12:00
  • Any 4 days out of 7, with start time windows of 12:00 to 18:00
  • Any 4 days out of 7, with start time windows of 18:00 to 23:59

Pay, benefits and more:

  • An hourly rate of £19.50
  • An additional £2.26 per hour for any hours worked between 18:00 and 06:00
  • Overtime paid at time and a half (applicable after 44 contractual hours)

What you will do on a typical day:

  • Safely deliver M&S products across the North, Midlands and beyond, completing store deliveries of Food, Fashion, Home and Beauty ranges, with an average of 4 drops per load using cages and totes on dollies
  • Complete nationwide trunking movements between distribution centres, along with container collections and deliveries to ports across the UK, ensuring all loads arrive on time and in perfect condition
  • Carry out daily vehicle inspections, report any defects or damage, and ensure your vehicle is maintained to the highest standards of safety and cleanliness
  • Comply with Driver CPC, Tachograph, Driver Hours and Road Traffic regulations while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining professional communication with stores, ports and the transport team

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
  • Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards
  • No more than 6 current penalty points
  • No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements
  • A proven track record of operating Class 1 vehicles safely and compliantly
