Class 1 Driver

HGV Class 1 Driver – Permanent Role (Avonmouth)

Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for a change? If you'd like to become part of a leading supply chain company with fantastic benefits, we have an exciting opportunity for you at GXO Logistics, delivering to Co-op stores.

We're recruiting full-time, permanent HGV Class 1 Drivers based in Avonmouth, working with the UK’s largest food retailer.


About the Role

You’ll be joining GXO Logistics, a market-leading provider of supply chain solutions, operating under contract to Co-op.

Hours & Schedule: 48 hours per week, with an Any-Duty-of-4-or-5-from-7 shift pattern. Start times between 04:00 and 10:00.


Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver chilled, frozen, and ambient goods to Co-op stores
  • Operate vehicles safely, legally, and efficiently
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and on time
  • Adhere to Driver’s Hours, Tachograph, Working Time, and Road Traffic Act regulations

Pay & Benefits

  • Annual salary: £48,170
  • Overtime: Paid at time and a third rate
  • Annual leave: 33 days (including Bank Holidays)

Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

  • Full UK driving licence with Category C+E entitlement
  • Valid Driver Qualification (DQS): Yes, and Digital Tachograph Card
  • No more than 6 penalty points on your licence
  • No valid endorsements (DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC, TT99) in the past 5 years
  • Desirable: Previous experience driving Category C+E vehicles
