About The Role
Rapier Employment seeks a Class 1 Driver for its Swindon depot, offering £15.71 to £16.34 hourly on a full-time, temporary basis. Shifts run Monday through Thursday, with start windows of 06:00–07:00 or 15:00–17:00; afternoon slots dominate. New passes are welcomed, and complete training is supplied. Duties involve loading correct parts, completing two or three trunking runs daily between Swindon and Oxford, plus thorough vehicle and trailer inspections. Records must be kept accurately, whether electronic or internal, with defects reported promptly. Applicants need a valid licence, reliability, and attention to detail. Attention all new Class 1 passes
Rapier Employment are looking for Class 1 drivers to support our well-known client based in Swindon. They are open to new passes.
Role: Class 1 Driver
Pay: £15.71 to £16.34 per hour depending on shift
Shifts: Monday to Thursday
Start window: Either 06:00 – 07:00 or 15:00 – 17:00 / limited morning slots, mainly afternoon slots open
Experience: New passes welcome!!
The Job
- Making sure the correct number of parts are loaded onto the vehicle
- Complete 2-3 runs per day trunking between the Swindon and Oxford site
- Complete vehicle and trailer checks, recording information internally and reporting any defects
- Be able to maintain accurate electronic records
- Friendly company who provide full training
- Good role to start if you are a new pass
