Pure Staff's Driving Team are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to support one of our valued customers based in Burton upon Trent. Immediate starts are available for reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers looking for ongoing work with a well-established logistics and transport business.

Our customer is a well-established, family-run logistics company providing nationwide transport, warehousing and distribution services to businesses across a wide range of industries. Operating a modern fleet of articulated vehicles, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds and curtain-sided trailers, they have built a strong reputation for reliability, flexibility and customer service, supporting both blue-chip organisations and local manufacturers throughout the UK.
Job Responsibilities
Drivers will complete a varied mixture of Class 1 work including flatbed, general haulage and refrigerated trailer deliveries, transporting goods between customer sites, depots and Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs). Typical start times are between 04:00 and 09:00, with average shift lengths of around 10 to 12 hours. Shifts are available across Monday to Sunday, offering ongoing work with genuine long-term prospects. Temporary to permanent opportunities are very common for dependable drivers who demonstrate a professional attitude and strong work ethic.

Pay Rates
Rates for an HGV Class 1 Driver:
- Day shifts (04:00hrs to 16:00hrs)
- Monday to Friday (Days) = £17.50ph (+ holiday accrued) or £19.61ph (with holiday pay rolled up)
- Saturday = £21ph (+ holiday accrued) or £23.52ph (with holiday pay rolled up)
- Sunday = £23ph (+ holiday accrued) or £24.78ph (with holiday pay rolled up)

Requirements
To be successful in this HGV Class 1 Driver role in Burton upon Trent, you will need:
- UK Category C+E Licence
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Valid Driver CPC Card
- 2 years' HGV Class 1 driving experience is preferred
- No more than 6 penalty points
- A professional, reliable and safety-conscious attitude
- Good understanding of driver hours, tachograph regulations and vehicle safety checks
