Job Opportunity for Experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers
£20.32 per hour to £26.15 per hour | Days Monday to Friday + Weekends Available | Ongoing Work
Pure Staff's Driving Team are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to support one of the UK's major temperature-controlled logistics operations, based in Telford, Shropshire. The Telford operation runs 24 hours a day, offering a variety of day, night and weekend shifts to suit different working preferences. This is predominantly refrigerated trunking work to Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs), making it a good option for drivers who prefer professional, planned Class 1 trunking rather than intensive multi-drop work.
Pay Rates
- Monday to Friday (Days) = £20.32 per hour
- Saturday (Days) = £23.81 per hour
- Sunday (Days) = £24.98 per hour
- Bank Holiday (Days) = £26.15
The rate advertised above includes 12.07% Rolled-Up Holiday Pay.
Prefer to have your holiday pay saved and paid when you take annual leave? No problem. You can choose traditional accrued holiday pay instead, in which case, the 12.07% holiday element is removed from the advertised hourly rate above, accrued separately, and paid to you when you take annual leave.

All drivers are employed directly by Pure Staff on a PAYE basis.
The HGV Class 1 Driver Role
- Ongoing Class 1 driving work
- Days, nights and weekends available
- 24-hour operation offering a range of start times
- Predominantly refrigerated trunking work
- Deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs)
- Temperature-controlled / fridge trailers
- Working from Telford, Shropshire (TF7)
- Regular ongoing requirements
- Potential Temp-to-Perm opportunities for suitable drivers
What We're Looking For
To be considered for this HGV Class 1 Driver position, you should have:
- A valid UK Category C+E licence
- Valid Driver CPC / DQC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours and Working Time regulations
- A professional and reliable approach to work
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
