Position: Class 1 Driver (Days)
Location: Wednesbury (WS10 7DE)
Shift patterns: Monday-Friday. Start times between 04:00-08:00am
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

We're now looking for a Class 1 Driver to play a key role ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time.
A Typical Day May Involve
- Provision of first class safe, efficient and customer focused delivery and collection services with DHL's customers and Networks
- Comply with issued start times in line with contractual requirements
- Conduct collections and deliveries in accordance with the plan and/or instructions from the transport office
- Conduct collections and deliveries within the timeframes outlined
- Ensure all delivery documentation and electronic POD's are completed accurately and in real time during a working shift
- Ensure a thorough working knowledge of the regulations under which they operate and in particular the Highway Code & Road Traffic Act 1988, and Road Safety Act 2006
- Operate in line with all legal requirements and ensure full compliance with tachograph and working time legislation
- Ensure the correct and appropriate load security is in place before moving any goods in a vehicle or trailer

This Role Would Suit People Who
- Hold a valid HGV Class 1 License (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card is essential
- Ideally have 12 months recent driving experience
- Happy to conduct travel UK wide
- Excellent communications skills - Verbal and written
- Working understanding of legal requirements, highway code and road traffic act
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience of securing loads within vehicles and/or trailers
- Good geographical knowledge
- Ability to follow operational, legal and H&S procedures
