LGV Driver Role – Class 1 Drivers (Mossend, Scotland)

About the Role

We are recruiting fully qualified Class 1 Drivers to join our busy and dynamic transport team based in Mossend, Scotland. You will play a key role in a leading logistics company, ensuring some of the UK’s major retailers have sufficient stock to meet customer demands.

As a driver, you’ll be contracted to:

  • Work 48 hours per week, following an Any 4 or 5 from 7 shift pattern with varying start times across the 24-hour period.

Pay & Benefits

Our competitive package includes:

  • Basic annual salary: £41,717, with potential to earn up to £48,563 when including full shift allowance
  • Overtime rate: £25.07 per hour if working additional shifts or exceeding a 10-week average of 480 hours
  • Weekend rate: £4.47 per hour

Daily Responsibilities

Your typical day will involve:

  • Delivering goods to UK retailers across High Streets and Retail Parks in Scotland
  • Completing and accurately returning all documents and undertaking paperwork at shift end
  • Adhering to time-based legal restrictions
  • Supporting with loading and unloading, ensuring empty cages and pallets are returned
  • Providing excellent customer service, including interactions with store staff and compliance with company policies

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Hold a full EU licence with C+E entitlement
  • Have a valid Driver Qualification Card (CPC)
  • Possess a Digital Tachograph card
  • Have no more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence

  • No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD.AC, LC, or TT99 endorsements with convictions in the past 5 years
  • Display strong verbal communication skills to build relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Have experience (or willingness to learn) in:
    • Multi-drop deliveries
    • Warehouse operations (note: full training provided)
