About The Role
Manpower UK seeks an experienced Class 1 Driver for a logistics operation in Tamworth. This temporary contract runs Monday to Friday, starting at 02:30am, with an hourly rate up to £20. The successful candidate will deliver automotive parts and components to a dealership in Leatherhead. Loads comprise cages and palletised goods, requiring competent handling and secure transit. The Role
- Monday to Friday shift pattern with a 02:30am start.
- Deliver automotive parts and components to a dealership in Leatherhead.
- Deliveries consist of cages and palletised goods.
- Some handball will be required as part of the unloading process.
- Drivers will be issued with keys and access codes to gain entry to customer premises, as deliveries are completed before site staff arrive.
- Complete all relevant delivery paperwork and vehicle checks.
- Ensure all deliveries are made safely, professionally, and on time.
In addition to the regular route, drivers may occasionally be required to:
- Complete collections from sites in Crick and Daventry.
- Undertake other ad hoc transport duties as required by the business.
- Work an additional sixth shift on occasion, depending on workload and operational requirements.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Minimum 12 months' Class 1 driving experience preferred.
- Maximum of 6 penalty points.
- No DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements.
- Comfortable carrying out some manual handling duties.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
- Flexible approach to duties and routes when required.

Assessment Process
Successful applicants will be required to complete a driving assessment with the on-site Driver Trainer before starting.
