Class 1 Driver
Location: Grange Park, NN4
Contract: Ongoing Temporary (Year-round stability)
Earnings: From £20.49ph up to £25.77ph
Class 1 Driver Opportunity
Join Gi Group supporting one of the UK's biggest Logistics clients as a Class 1 Driver, based in Northampton.
Role & Responsibilities:
- 1-6 drops per shift
- Chilled & Ambient loads, various cages & pallets
- Various work, store deliveries, drinks and trunking work
- Conducting thorough vehicle checks and maintaining accurate digital tachograph records.
- Ability to manage your Working Time Directive, and Driving Hours rules and Regulations in order to meet compliance expectations, and avoid infringement
- Acting as a professional face of the brand when arriving at stores
Shifts:
- Daily and Weekly Bookings
- Various start times: Days, Afternoons, and Nights
- Weekend working is essential
- Full time and part time opportunities

PAYE Peak Rates (Applicable from 25th October - 2nd January)

Days: £22.41ph
Nights: £23.53ph
Saturday: £24.65ph
Sunday: £25.77ph
Class 1 Driver Requirements
- Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and DIGI Cards)
- Minimum 2 year's Class 1 licence + 2 year's Class 1 driving experience
- Previous experience in store deliveries would be preferred, but is not essential
- Max 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences (no DR or DD offences)
- Availability to work weekends is essential for this 24/7 operation
- Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as an attention to detail
