GAP Group (North East) Ltd is looking to recruit two experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our growing team based at our Hessay, Yorkshire site.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing recycling business, collecting waste electrical items and refrigeration equipment from local authority recycling centres across the region.
The Role
The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe collection and transportation of fridges and waste electrical equipment (WEEE) from local council sites. As this is not solely a driving role, you will also be involved in loading and unloading your vehicle throughout the day.

- Driving a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle safely and professionally.
- Collecting fridges and waste electrical equipment from local authority sites.
- Loading and unloading cages and electrical items.
- Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.
- Providing excellent customer service whilst representing the company.
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Minimum of 2 years' Class 1 driving experience.
- A good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations.
- A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to assist with loading and unloading.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
