Vibe Recruit is currently looking for an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to join a busy and well-established distribution operation in the Blackwood area.
This is a Monday to Friday position offering consistent hours with no weekend work, making it an excellent opportunity for drivers seeking a regular work pattern.
Location: Blackwood
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: £15.74 per hour
Shift Pattern:
- Shift A: 5:00am - 3:00pm
- Shift B: 6:00am - 4:00pm
- Shift C: 7:00am - 5:00pm
- Shift D: 10:00am - 9:00pm
10-hour shifts
Day shifts with varying start times to support operational requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicle in line with all road traffic legislation and company procedures.
- Carry out shunting and trailer movements around the site, ensuring vehicles are positioned safely and efficiently.
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly.
- Ensure all transport documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain compliance with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations.
- Communicate effectively with the transport team, warehouse staff and shift supervisors to ensure the smooth running of the operation.
- Follow all site Health & Safety policies and safe systems of work.
- Represent the business professionally at all times, maintaining high standards of driving and customer service where required.
- Support the wider transport operation with additional driving duties as required.

- Valid Class 1 HGV licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- A professional and reliable approach to work.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
