Class 1 HGV Driver – Days or Nights

💰 £37,000–£39,000 depending on experience

🚛 The Role
OJ Digital is recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers for an established distribution business based in Thame, Oxfordshire.
There are opportunities available across both day and night shifts, making this a strong option for experienced drivers looking for stable, Monday-to-Friday work with a well-established local employer.
Day shift
- Local palletised collection and delivery work
- Regular routes, generally using the same vehicle
- Daily local trailer collection
- Opportunity to support national distribution work if desired
- Hours broadly between 7:30am and 5:30pm
- One Saturday morning per month

Night shift
- Overnight trunking to palletised freight partners
- Freight predominantly loaded and unloaded using forklifts
- Some electric pallet truck and physical work may be required
- Hours broadly between 6:00pm and 6:00am
- Monday to Friday
📋 Responsibilities
- Safely collect and deliver palletised freight
- Complete assigned routes efficiently and on time
- Follow all transport, pallet network and Health & Safety procedures
- Carry out tail-lift operations where required
- Maintain a professional approach when dealing with customers and freight partners
- Keep your vehicle presentable and represent the business professionally
- Ensure Driver CPC training remains up to date

👤 What We’re Looking For
- Appropriate Class 1 HGV driving entitlement
- Valid Driver CPC
- At least 12 months' Class 1 driving experience
- Experience driving curtain-sided vehicles
- Comfortable with tail-lift operations
- Able to work independently and as part of a wider transport team
- Reliable, flexible and professional
- Previous night-shift experience is advantageous for the night position but isn't essential
💷 Package
- £37,000–£39,000, depending on experience
- 45 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Choice of day or night opportunities
- 22 days' annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays
- Required CPC training paid for by the company
