HGV Class 1 Drivers – Containers & Curtainsiders
Middlesbrough
£16 per hour
Driver Hire Teesside are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing work with a major client based in Middlesbrough.
We are looking for drivers with experience across container and curtainsider work, with a particular requirement for drivers who are confident using extending skeletal trailers.
The Role Will Involve a Mixture Of
- Container movements
- Extending skeletal trailer work
- Curtainsider deliveries and collections
- Class 1 driving from a Middlesbrough-based operation
- Completing all relevant vehicle and delivery paperwork
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and working safely at all times

Essential Experience
For the container side of the work, previous experience using extending skeletal trailers is essential. You must be comfortable adjusting and operating the trailer correctly and have previous container experience.
Requirements
- Full UK Category C+E / Class 1 licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous professional Class 1 driving experience
- Extending skeletal trailer/container experience for container assignments
- Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and working time regulations
- A professional and reliable attitude
