Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and cleanliness. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and experience in commercial transportation.
Duties
- Operate artic curtain-side lorries to transport goods to specified destinations efficiently and safely
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance
- Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency
- Load and unload cargo with care, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during transit

Requirements
- Monday-Friday flexible start and finish times. Possibly work on weekends if interested
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably as a delivery driver or similar role
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating a lorry
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently
- Ability to work independently and handle physically demanding tasks when loading or unloading cargo
- Good communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively
- 12 hour days will be common
