Role Overview
Due to continued expansion, our client is looking for experienced and reliable Class 1 HGV Drivers to join their growing team. You will be responsible for the safe, timely, and legal transportation of a range of loads varying from tipper, curtain, tanker, and ADR. You will operate a modern fleet of vehicles, adhere to all road safety and transport regulations, and deliver outstanding service to customers.

- Drive Class 1 HGV vehicles to transport goods across local, regional, and national routes, following planned schedules and routes.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks (tyres, lights, fluids, brakes, etc.) and report any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
- Ensure all loads are secured correctly and safely in line with health and safety guidelines.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately including delivery notes, logbooks, tachograph records, and delivery confirmations.
- Adhere strictly to Drivers' hours regulations, speed limits, and all road traffic laws.
- Interact professionally with customers, depot staff, and colleagues at all times.
- Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle at all times.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and health and safety regulations at every stage of work.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Valid Driver CPC card and digital tachograph card.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Class 1 HGV Driver (preferred, but newly qualified Drivers with training commitment considered).
- Good knowledge of UK road networks and regulations.
- Strong focus on safety, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and customer-focused attitude.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including nights and weekends.
- No history of serious driving offences or disqualifications.
