LGV Class 1 Driver (AM Shift)
Warrington, Cheshire | Full-time
About the Role
We are seeking dynamic LGV Class 1 Drivers to join our critical distribution operations based in Warrington, Cheshire.
As part of our team, you’ll earn a competitive base salary of £18.05 per hour (projected to c£39,529 per year), plus:
- Weekly overtime at 1.3x rate
- 1.5x rest day working premiums
- Subscription to our Driver bonus scheme
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll deliver essential operations across our network, ensuring clothing and homeware products are transported efficiently and safely:

Drive** Freight across South East regions**, including trunk operations

The role operates on a 5 days out of 7 schedule, covering:
- 2 full weekends every fortnight
- Gated weekend shifts across other weekends

Shifts commence between 04:00 and 10:00 daily

Weekly commitment: 42 hours
Failure to our distribution chain is critical, which is why we emphasise: → "Safety First" – Compliance with HGV safety protocols, system and pattern awareness → Protecting team members and end-users in and around vehicles
Requirements
To excel in this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Holds a valid Class 1 C+E ( בקון + כונסים) license with CPC card in full possession
- Minimum 1year’s HGV driving experience, with competency in:
- Coupling/un-coupling of trailers
- Road risk knowledge
- Must maintain a clean driving record:
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No disqualifications or D10 convictions

Applicant Support
- Successful candidates will engage with our Driver Development Coach (DDC) for:
- 2 days of vocational training
- Extensive mentorship from a designated line manager
Additional Premium Pay
Payslips reflect enhanced rates for weekend and night shifts:
Weekend Premium:
- Saturday: £3.00 between 06:00 and 22:00
- Sunday: £5.00 between 06:00 and 22:00
Night Rate:

Sunday – Thursday: £3.00 between 22:00 and 06:00

Friday: £5.00 between 22:00 and 06:00
-
Saturday (until 30/09/2026): £7.55 between 22:00 – 06:00

A 11% London weighting is applied for applicable shifts.
