PM Shift – LGV Class 1 Driver Engagement
Motherwell, Lanarkshire
Planned start date: 7th July 2024
The Role
We’re recruiting LGV Class 1 Drivers to support critical distribution operations from Motherwell, Lanarkshire.
Base Pay & Conditions
- Base salary: £18.05 per hour (~£39,647)
- Additional remuneration:
- Weekly overtime: 1.3x
- Rest-day working: 1.5x
- Driver Bonus Scheme participation
- Premium hourly rates as detailed below
What You’ll Do
- Operate in a Safety First work environment, prioritising own safety, public safety, and colleagues.
- Transport clothing, homeware, and trunk runs for stores.
- Work follows a 4-day out-of-7 schedule (includes 2 full weekends in every 10).
- Shift starts ~18:30, totaling 40 hours per week.
What You’ll Bring
- Valid LGV Class 1 (C+E license) with a CPC card.
- Minimum 1 year’s experience as a Class 1 HGV driver, including:
- Coupling and uncoupling of trailers.
- License compliance:
- Maximum of 6 penalty points.
- No disqualifications or convictions.

Weekend hours (06:00–22:00):
- Saturday: +£3.00/hour
- Sunday: +£5.00/hour

Night rates (22:00–06:00):
- Sunday–Thursday: +£3.00/hour
- Friday: +£5.00/hour
- Saturday: +£7.55/hour [until 30/09/2026]
