Role Description
This full-time, on-site Class 1 Lorry Driver role is based in Nottingham and involves the safe transport of access platforms and related equipment to and from customer locations. The driver will be responsible for:

- Planning routes
- Carrying out pre- and post-trip vehicle checks
- Ensuring all loads are correctly secured and compliant with relevant regulations

Daily tasks include:
- Completing delivery and collection paperwork
- Liaising with the transport office and site contacts
- Adapting to changing schedules or priorities
The role also involves:
- Maintaining a clean, roadworthy vehicle
- Following all company safety procedures
- Representing the business professionally when interacting with customers and colleagues
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving license, up-to-date Driver CPC, and a good understanding of UK road transport regulations.
- Proven experience operating Class 1 vehicles, with strong skills in route planning, vehicle checks, and safe loading/unloading.
- Commitment to health and safety best practices, including safe handling of equipment and adherence to company procedures.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the transport team and site personnel.
- Good time management, reliability, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Clean or low-point driving record; experience delivering access platforms or construction equipment is an advantage.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required and to undertake additional training or certifications relevant to the role.
