Location: Whitland, West Wales
Shift: 4on 4off, Nights

About The Role
As a Class 1 Driver, you will:
- Safely load and unload palletised and caged goods from refrigerated vehicles, ensuring all products are handled securely and with care at every stage of the delivery process.
- Operate from the Whitland base, completing deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) and stores across South Wales and Midlands, typically making 4-5 drops per shift to support an efficient and well-planned workday.
- Carry out manual handling duties as required, including handballing and self-tipping of loads.
- Ensure all goods are correctly loaded, positioned, and secured to prevent movement or damage in transit, using straps, nets, and other approved securing equipment.
- Complete thorough daily vehicle safety checks via the company-issued phone, maintaining high standards of vehicle safety, compliance, and reliability.
- Maintain regular communication with the transport team, providing timely progress updates and supporting the delivery of excellent customer service.
- Take part in ongoing training sessions to remain compliant with current industry regulations and best practices.

Essential Skills And Qualifications
- You must hold a valid UK Class 1 CE licence, enabling you to operate articulated vehicles with confidence and professionalism.
- A current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and a Digital Tachograph Driver Card are essential to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.
- Previous experience working with refrigerated trailers is advantageous, but not essential, as full training will be provided to get you up to speed.
- We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service, representing our brand with professionalism and care at every stop.
- You'll need to be comfortable working to tight schedules, managing your time effectively to ensure deliveries are made promptly and safely.
- A confident and polite communicator, you'll work closely with colleagues across transport and logistics, contributing to a supportive and efficient team environment.
- A good understanding of UK road networks, particularly across Wales and surrounding regions, will help you navigate routes efficiently and avoid delays.

- Competitive Salary: £17.50 per hour, based on 10 hours per shift. Plus, for all hours worked between 21:00hrs & 04:00hrs, you will receive an additional £2.75 per hour.
