Class 1 Shunter (Nights) Temp to Perm
£19.16 per hour (£45,864+ per year)
45 guaranteed hours per week
9-hour night shifts- 19:00-04:30am
Weekly pay once permanent
Duties include:
- Onsite trailer shunting using a tug unit (40ft & 44ft trailers)
- Moving trailers to and from trailer parks and hubs
- Coupling and de-coupling trailers
- Completing vehicle and trailer safety checks
- Pulling trailer curtains
- Securing loads when required
- Reporting any defects or damage
- Scanning trailers and completing movement records
- Adhering to all driving hours, CPC and site safety regulations

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' Class 1 (C+E) experience
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience working in busy yard or site environments
- Tug trained is desirable, but not essential
