Class 1 Shunter (Nights) Temp to Perm

£19.16 per hour (£45,864+ per year)
45 guaranteed hours per week
9-hour night shifts- 19:00-04:30am
Weekly pay once permanent

Duties include:

  • Onsite trailer shunting using a tug unit (40ft & 44ft trailers)
  • Moving trailers to and from trailer parks and hubs
  • Coupling and de-coupling trailers
  • Completing vehicle and trailer safety checks
  • Pulling trailer curtains
  • Securing loads when required
  • Reporting any defects or damage
  • Scanning trailers and completing movement records
  • Adhering to all driving hours, CPC and site safety regulations

  • Minimum 2 years' Class 1 (C+E) experience
  • No more than 6 penalty points
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

  • Tug trained is desirable, but not essential
