Class 1 Shunter Driver (Part Time) – Thursdays & Fridays – Derby DE1 9TA
We’re looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver to join our shunting team on our client’s site in Derby. If you enjoy predictable shifts, no long-distance work and being part of a tight-knit transport operation, this role is ideal.
The Shift
- Thursdays & Fridays
- 15:00 – 00:00
- Paid breaks
- Regular weekly hours with a simple, fixed pattern
Pay
- £16.98 per hour
- £1,480 annual allowance
- Stable, guaranteed income every week
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be moving trailers around the site using a TUG tractor unit, keeping the operation running smoothly and safely. This is a site-based role with no nights out, no long-distance driving and no waiting around at RDCs.

Your day will include:
- Collecting tasks via a handheld device
- Communicating with the transport office
- Manoeuvring trailers safely around the yard
- Supporting a friendly on-site team
What We’re Looking For
- LGV Class 1 licence
- Minimum 12 months’ commercial driving experience
- CPC qualification
- Up to 6 points accepted
- Good understanding of working time regulations
