We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable company for an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to join their team. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, offering the potential for the successful candidate to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
The role is based in Skelmersdale, with work covering UK-wide/GB deliveries. This is a tramping role, so drivers should be prepared to complete nights out away from base as and when required.
The Role
- Class 1 LGV driving across the UK
- UK-wide deliveries & collections
- Tramping and nights out required
- Professional customer-facing role
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
- Good knowledge of the UK road network required

Requirements
- Class 1 (LGV) licence
- Valid CPC
- Minimum 1 year's LGV driving experience is advantageous. Less than 1 year's experience may be considered subject to a satisfactory driving assessment.
- Drivers must be aged 25 & over for insurance purposes
- No more than 6 points on licence and no DD, DR, DG, CD, AC, IN, BA or SE/TT codes
- Full right to work in the UK
- Less than 1 year's experience may be considered subject to a satisfactory driving assessment
- Professional attitude and good communication skills
- Reliable and proactive approach to work
- Desirable: Manual Handling, Health & Safety and First Aid training.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Class 1 driver looking for full-time tramping work with a well-established transport operation.
Pay Rates: All advertised pay rates are inclusive of holiday pay accrual.
We also offer the option to accrue holiday entitlement, which can then be taken as paid time off.
