We Are Seeking a Class 1 Welder / Fabricator / Plater
We are seeking an experienced Class 1 Welder / Fabricator / Plater to join our manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and high nickel alloys in a heavy engineering, pressure vessel, pipework, or oil and gas environment.
You will play a key role in the fabrication of high-quality engineered products including flare tips, power burners, process burners, skids, and pressure vessel fabrications, ensuring projects are delivered safely, accurately, and on schedule.
Working from detailed engineering drawings, you will be responsible for planning fabrication activities, preparing materials, and supporting welding operations to the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Interpret isometric and engineering drawings to manufacture fabricated components.
- Fabricate parts accurately and efficiently from detailed technical drawings.
- Work confidently with both imperial and metric measurements.
- Prepare materials and components for welding through cutting, sawing, drilling, grinding, pipe bending, and threading operations.
- Support and perform Class 1 / ISO 3834 fabrication and welding activities.
- Read, understand, and work to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Produce welded joints including fillet, lap, corner, and butt welds in accordance with ASME IX and ISO 15614 standards.
- Plan fabrication sequences and determine priorities to maintain workflow and achieve delivery schedules.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and safety at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across multiple disciplines to ensure on-time project delivery.
Essential Skills & Experience Required
- Class 1 skilled welder / fabricator / plater (will be expected to pass a class 1 TIG fillet weld test)
- Proven fabrication and plating experience within Oil & Gas, Pressure Vessel, Pipefitting, Heavy Engineering, or similar industries.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and high nickel alloys.
- Knowledge of fabrication and welding preparation processes.
- Understanding of welding standards and procedures, including WPS documentation.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science (Grades A-C / 4-9).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.

- Forklift Truck Licence.
- Previous experience working within ISO 3834-certified fabrication environments.
- Knowledge of pressure vessel and process burner fabrication.
