About The Role

Pertemps Gloucester seeks a Class 2 Driver for a manufacturer in Quedgeley, offering £15.00 to £17.19 per hour (PAYE) on a full-time, permanent basis. The Role

Working for a well-established manufacturer in Quedgeley, you'll complete between 2 and 10 deliveries per day across the region using a Class 2 vehicle. You'll be responsible for the safe delivery of goods, using tail lifts, pallet trucks and sack trucks to unload products at customer locations. This role involves manual handling of units and boxed goods and may occasionally include 7.5T driving, paid at the same rate. Early start times are available between 04:15 and 06:00, with ongoing Monday to Friday work.

Duties Include

  • Completing between 2 and 10 deliveries per day
  • Loading and unloading goods using tail lifts and pallet trucks
  • Manual handling of products, including units and boxed items
  • Providing excellent customer service at delivery points
  • Completing all vehicle and delivery paperwork accurately
  • Adhering to all road transport and health & safety regulations

  • A valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence
  • Valid Driver CPC qualification
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • No more than 9 penalty points for minor driving offences
  • A positive and professional attitude
  • A willingness to undertake manual handling duties
  • Good levels of physical fitness
