Class 2 Driver – East Kilbride (Immediate Start)
Driver Hire working on behalf of a Laundry Company
Pay Rate: £17.20 per hour (paid weekly through Driver Hire, holiday pay accrued)
Driver Hire is recruiting for a Class 2 (Category C) Driver to support our client, a busy laundry operation based in East Kilbride. This role starts ASAP and is temp with potential for long term work.
Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
- A valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- A valid CPC card
- A valid Digital Tachograph (Digi) card
- Good physical fitness and the ability to handle manual work

Shift Pattern & Hours
- Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays
- Start time: 6:00 AM
- Maximum 48 hours per week
- Paid weekly through Driver Hire
- Holiday pay accrued
About The Role
This is a varied position involving:
- Working as a driver’s mate supporting another Class 2 driver
- Driving independently in a Class 2 truck or Luton van with a tail lift
- Delivering and collecting laundry from hotels, guest houses, student accommodation, army sites, and other customers
- Handling laundry bags (up to 20kg) and rolling cages (up to 200kg)
- Loading/unloading cages, swapping clean and dirty bags, and occasionally carrying bags up stairs

This is a hands on, physically demanding role. You must be comfortable:
- Pushing and manoeuvring heavy rolling cages
- Lifting and carrying laundry bags
- Working in varied environments with different access conditions
