Elite CLS LTD is a recruitment agency.
We are looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver / Furniture Assembler to join our team. The role involves delivering furniture to customers and safely assembling and installing items at their premises.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Deliver furniture and other goods to customers' homes and commercial premises.
- Load and unload furniture safely, working as part of a team where required.
- Assemble a range of furniture including beds, wardrobes, tables, sofas and other household items.
- Install and position furniture according to customer requirements.
- Ensure furniture is handled carefully to prevent damage during transportation and installation.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times.
- Complete delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures where required.
- Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle and work area.
- Follow all relevant health and safety, manual handling and company procedures.

Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
- Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
- Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience.
- Experience assembling or installing furniture is desirable.
- Good knowledge of safe manual handling practices.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach.
- Physically fit, as the role involves lifting and moving furniture.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions
The role involves regular driving, loading and unloading, lifting furniture and assembling items at customer locations. Some flexibility may be required depending on delivery schedules.
