Class 2 Driver

Dukinfield | Full Time | £14.50 per hour + Expenses, Night Out Allowance & Bonuses

Our client is a Manchester-based transport, warehousing and logistics provider offering bespoke delivery services throughout the UK and Europe.

With secure warehousing facilities and specialist two-man home delivery services, they are committed to providing a personal, professional and reliable service to customers of all sizes.

The Role

  • Deliver high-end quality household furniture, garden furniture, bedrooms, kitchens and bathroom systems directly to end consumers, along with steel manufactured products to businesses
  • Ensure goods are handled with the utmost care
  • Follow planned routes and think on your feet when faced with obstacles and mishaps on the road
  • Communicate effectively with customers, installation teams and the operations desk
  • Be courteous and polite at all times, maintaining a good appearance
  • Work well as part of a two-man team

What We're Looking For

  • Must be CPC qualified
  • Excellent literacy and communication skills for paperwork and customer contact
  • Preferable experience handling high-end quality goods
  • Physically fit due to manual handling requirements
  • Confident in strapping and securing obscure loads, i.e. loose kitchen units, canteen lockers, appliances, etc
  • Flexible with availability, night outs and varying start and finish times
  • Overnight stays are required as vehicles can be scheduled on 2–3-day runs. Overnight allowances are paid upfront to cover costs
