🚛 Class 2 HGV Driver – General Haulage
Driver Hire Winchester is recruiting for an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Driver on behalf of a leading general haulage company. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional and established operation, delivering palletised freight to commercial customers across the UK.

📦 The Role
- Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays on a rota
- 7:15am start time
- Long-distance deliveries across the UK
- Delivering palletised freight to commercial customers
- Using a pump truck to unload pallets, with some sites providing forklift unloading
- Driving 18T or 26T curtain-side vehicles with tail lifts
- Strapping and securing loads safely
- Completing daily vehicle checks and required paperwork
- Working professionally and safely at all times

✅ What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for reliable, professional drivers who take pride in their work and have:
- Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digi Tacho Card
- Minimum 2 years’ Class 2 driving experience
- Experience securing and strapping loads
- Previous experience driving 18T or 26T curtain-side tail-lift vehicles
- Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and health & safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and professionally
