Here at GXO Sherburn In Elmet (LS25 6PT) we're looking for Class 2 Drivers to join our team working on the TJX contract. As a Class 2 Driver, you'll be delivering to a variety of customer locations using 18T and 7.5T rigid vehicles. Deliveries will consist of pallets, cages, and dollies to both commercial and retail premises. Full training will be provided in all aspects of the role, ensuring you have the support and knowledge needed to succeed.

You'll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, contracted to 48 hours per week, working any 5 days out of 7, with day shift start times between 03:00 and 07:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Deliver deliveries to TJX stores using handheld terminal (HHT) technology, scanning and recording deliveries, collecting electronic proof of delivery, and accurately managing any returns or collections
  • Trailers will be preloaded by the warehouse team, driver will be allocated their delivery details and keys by the transport administrator
  • Carry out daily walk around checks and highlight any defects immediately to the Transport team
  • Follow planned multi-drop routes, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and within designated timescales while maintaining excellent customer service standards

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Hold a valid Class 2 licence
  • Less than six points on your licence (as well as no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
  • An up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with driving regulations
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work on your initiative
