Job Opportunity: Class 2 Refuse Driver ππ
Our client, a reputable driving service provider in the public services sector, is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Class 2 Refuse Driver to join their team on a temporary basis in Heywood. This role is vital for supporting waste management operations and ensuring that community recycling and refuse collections run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Recycling/Refuse Loaders in the collection and disposal of waste efficiently.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks in line with Operators Licence requirements, submitting record sheets weekly.
- Promptly report any defects or safety concerns regarding vehicles and equipment to the Vehicle Fleet Management service.
- Undertake routine maintenance and repairs on the vehicle to ensure compliance with the Road Traffic Act and minimise breakdowns.
- Operate the refuse vehicle effectively to meet round targets, enhancing recycling rates and reducing residual waste.
- Handle heavy loads during loading and unloading onto the bin waggon.
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 driving licence and CPC qualification.
- Proven experience as a Class 2 Driver, preferably within refuse collection or a related field.
- References from the last two years.
- Updated CV.
