HGV Class 2 Driver – Full-Time, Permanent Position (Greenford)

Looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver? Join GXO Logistics, a leader in supply chain solutions, where you’ll deliver to Costa Coffee stores across Greenford—the UK’s largest coffee chain—while enjoying fantastic benefits and career growth.

About the Role

This demanding-but-rewarding role is perfect for drivers who prioritise safe, compliant working practices. Operate as a core part of the team, supporting the logistics needs of one of the UK’s most iconic coffee brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and deliver chilled, frozen, and ambient goods to Costa Coffee stores (typically 10–15 drops per shift)
  • Operate vehicles safely, legally, and efficiently
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all paperwork
  • Strict compliance with:
    • Driver’s Hours
    • Tachograph regulations
    • Working Time Directive
    • Road Traffic Act

Contract & Remuneration

  • Full-time, permanent position (17-week contract in trial period)
  • 48-hour work week, 5 on & 3 off shift pattern within 16:00–20:00 start window
  • Annual salary: £50,660 (incl. overtime paid at 1.5x rate)
  • 25 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays)

Qualifications & Experience

You must:

  • Hold a full UK driving licence with category C entitlement
  • Have a valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Not exceed 6 penalty points
  • Have no endorsements (DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC, or TT99) in the last 5 years
  • Previous experience driving category C vehicles is highly desirable
