Class 2 Lorry Driver – Permanent Position (Full-Time)

About the Role

Are you an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Driver looking for a stable position with a trusted company? Do you have the driving skills and customer service passion to deliver five-star experiences?

We at GXO are offering an opportunity for highly qualified Class 2 Lorry Drivers to join our team at our Dunstable distribution centre, serving a major retail client in a permanent, full-time role (40.25 hours per week).

Terms & Conditions

  • Fourth-on, fourth-off shift pattern (rotating start times between 02:00 and 07:00)

Daily Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate, safe, and timely multi-drop deliveries within agreed windows
  • Deliver totes to retail locations, offload goods correctly, and complete paperwork
  • Collect returns or waste as required
  • Maintain safe working practices, including proper load securing
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Report any vehicle defects via the Transport Office
  • Attend necessary training for compliance

Requirements

To succeed at GXO, you must have:

  • A valid UK Category Class 2 licence
  • A digital tachograph card and an active Driver CPC
  • No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (excluding certain endorsements: DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC, TT)
  • Experience in multi-drop/store deliveries (preferable but not essential)
  • Exceptional customer care skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong geographical knowledge – preferably with London driving experience
