Driver Hire Preston are recruiting on behalf of their established client in Bamber Bridge, who specialises in the delivery of flooring products throughout the North, North West and East of England, as well as southern parts of Scotland.
Due to continued demand, they are looking to recruit 2 x Class 2 HGV Drivers to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis, with an immediate start available.
This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable and experienced Class 2 drivers looking for stable, long-term employment, offering Monday to Friday day work, a £35,000 salary and an additional performance-based bonus.
The Role
You will initially work through Driver Hire Preston for 12 weeks, before transferring to their client as a permanent employee from week 13, subject to successful completion of the temp-to-perm period.
Your Day-to-day Duties Will Include
- Completing approximately 15–20 deliveries per day
- Delivering flooring products to customers across the North, North West and East of England, as well as southern parts of Scotland
- Loading and unloading the vehicle when required
- Manual handling and lifting of flooring products
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Completing relevant delivery paperwork
- Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
- Representing the company to a high standard while out on the road

Hours & Pay
The working week is Monday to Friday, averaging approximately 45 hours per week.
Start times are between 05:00am and 07:00am, depending on the delivery route for the day.
This is a days-only position, offering consistent Monday-to-Friday work.
Salary
£35,000 per annum + additional performance-based bonus.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must:
- Hold a valid Category C / Class 2 HGV licence
- Have held your HGV licence for a minimum of 12 months
- Hold a valid Driver CPC
- Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Be over 25 years old for insurance purposes
- Have no more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence, for minor offences only
- Be physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work, including lifting flooring products and loading/unloading the vehicle when required
- Be punctual, reliable and dependable
- Have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards work
- Have a good level of customer service and communication skills
- Be professional and presentable when dealing with customers
