Role Description

As a Class 2 HGV Driver at Aberdeen Laundry Services, you will be responsible for the safe and timely collection and delivery of linen and workwear to customers across Glasgow and surrounding areas. This full-time hybrid role is primarily based in Glasgow, with duties that include:

You will maintain high driving standards, comply with all road traffic and company safety regulations, carry out daily vehicle checks, and report any defects promptly. The role involves regular customer interaction, so you will represent the company professionally, address basic customer queries, and relay any service issues to the operations team. Some administrative tasks, such as route planning updates and basic reporting, may be completed from home when appropriate, supported by digital tools and clear communication with the depot and dispatch teams.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV license, Driver CPC qualification, and a clean or low-risk driving record.
  • Proven experience in commercial driving, ideally in multi-drop delivery or logistics, with strong route planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle manual handling duties safely, including lifting, moving, and securing loads, with good awareness of health and safety practices.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact courteously with clients and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic IT skills for using handheld devices, route management systems, and completing delivery records or vehicle checks electronically.
  • Reliable, punctual, and organized, with a focus on quality, compliance, and environmentally responsible working practices.
  • Flexibility to work varying routes and schedules, and to support colleagues across different areas when required.
  • Previous experience in laundry, textile services, or service
