Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Class 2 HGV Driver role based in Stockton-on-Tees. The driver will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles to deliver goods to construction and trussed rafter industry clients, following planned routes and schedules. Day-to-day tasks include loading and unloading materials, securing loads, completing delivery documentation, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and basic checks. The role involves adhering to all transport regulations, company safety policies, and road laws while representing the business professionally at customer sites. The driver will work closely with the transport and warehouse teams to ensure timely, accurate deliveries and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

- Strong truck driving skills, including experience operating Class 2 HGV or similar commercial vehicles
- Ability to safely load, secure, and unload goods using appropriate equipment and manual handling techniques
- Solid understanding of DOT regulations or equivalent UK transport and road safety regulations
- Valid commercial driving license appropriate for Class 2 vehicles and a clean driving record
- Good knowledge of local routes and ability to follow delivery schedules and navigation systems
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused, with attention to detail in paperwork and vehicle checks
- Strong communication skills and professional conduct when dealing with customers and colleagues
- Experience in construction or building materials delivery is beneficial
- CPC
- Delivered Roof trusses (preferred but not essential)
