Job Opportunity: Class 2 HGV Grab Lorry Driver
An opportunity has arisen for a Class 2 HGV Grab Lorry Driver who will be based at our Main Yard in Penrith, Cumbria.
Experience
- The individual must be reliable, self-motivated, and flexible
- Position is to start immediately
Responsibilities
- Ability to Operate the Grab Lorry in a safe and efficient way following all company policies and procedures.
- Carry out daily defect checks reporting any faults to the Transport Manager.
- Deliver and collect materials on selected routes.
- Liaise with Customers and/or Site Personnel in a Safe and Professional Manner.
- Ensure the Lorry and its Load are safe and secure at all times.
- Ensure the Safety of members of the public and operational staff whilst the HGV is operating.
- To complete all required work and/or Paperwork required.
- Build Strong relationships with Customers and/or Site Personnel.
- Act Professionally at all times.
- Ensure all aspects of Health and Safety Regulations are met. Including wearing full PPE at all times.
- Have experience of dealing with Customers in person.
- Good Geographical knowledge.
- Knowledge of Drivers Hours, Tachograph Rules, and Legislation.

- Class 2 licence and Grab Experience
- Holder of a valid Driver CPC Licence, Lorry Loader/Grab (clamshell ticket)
