Class 2 Driver – Gloucestershire
£17.19 per hour + TIME & 1/3 overtime | Typically £800–£917 per week
Monday to Friday | 40 hours + regular overtime | Permanent position
Driver Hire Gloucester are recruiting on behalf of our well-established Gloucestershire-based client for an experienced Class 2 Driver.
This is a great opportunity for a reliable Class 2 driver looking for a Monday-to-Friday position with regular overtime and excellent earning potential.
What can you earn?
- Basic rate: £17.19 per hour
- 40 hours: £687.60 per week
- Overtime after 40 hours: Paid at time and a third – £22.92 per hour
- Drivers typically work 45–50 hours per week
- Typical earnings: £802–£917 per week
- Basic annual salary: £35,892.72
- Overtime on top
The Role
You’ll be delivering high-quality kitchen products to customers across the UK, representing a well-established manufacturer and providing excellent customer service.

- Delivering customer orders safely and on time
- Loading and unloading kitchen products
- Ensuring deliveries are completed on time and in full
- Completing all required delivery paperwork
- Reporting shortages, damages or delivery issues
- Dealing professionally with customers at delivery locations
- Resolving issues where possible and reporting anything that needs further attention
- Providing customer feedback
- Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude
- Ensuring the company is represented positively at all times
- Complying with tachograph, Working Time Directive and road transport legislation
What we’re looking for
- Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence
- Licence held for at least 1 year
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience driving vehicles from 3.5t to 18t
- Good knowledge of tachograph and drivers’ hours regulations
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional and punctual
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- 25+ for insurance purposes
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
Start times are between 4am and 7am, depending on the delivery schedule.
