Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Class 2 Tipper Driver role based in Alrewas. The driver will operate Class 2 tipper vehicles to deliver aggregates to customer sites and collect muck away loads for disposal or processing.

  • Carrying out vehicle checks
  • Following planned routes
  • Loading and tipping materials safely
  • Completing delivery and collection paperwork accurately

The role involves working closely with dispatch and site teams, adhering to all road traffic and health and safety regulations, and maintaining a clean, well-presented vehicle. The driver will be expected to manage time effectively, respond to changing site requirements, and represent RJK Logistics Ltd. in a professional manner with customers and the public.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV license, Driver CPC qualification, and a clean or low-point driving record.
  • Previous experience driving tipper vehicles or similar heavy goods vehicles, with confident handling in varied road and site conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety, load security, and health and safety practices on construction and industrial sites.
  • Ability to read and follow delivery notes, site instructions, and basic route plans, with good attention to detail.
  • Reliable time-management skills and the ability to work independently while meeting daily schedules and deadlines.
  • Professional communication skills for interacting with customers, site personnel, and colleagues in a respectful manner.
  • Physical capability to manage daily vehicle checks, climb into and out of the cab, and work safely around heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with local areas and routes around Alrewas and surrounding regions is an advantage.
  • Flexibility to work occasional extended hours or overtime to meet operational demands.
  • Experience in aggregates, construction logistics, or muck away operations is beneficial but not essential for the right candidate.
