£35,000 - £42,000 (DOE)

Hours
35hrs per week, term-time only (Mon - Thurs 8:30am - 4pm, Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm)
Part time hours also negotiable (minimum of 2.5 days)

You must have a qualified teacher status to apply for this role and have at least 2 years teaching experience.

Hollybank Trust is a charity based in West and South Yorkshire and we are proud of our reputation for excellence over our rich history. Our mission statement is to provide education, residential care, plus a range of therapies and enrichment activities for children, young people and adults with profound and multiple disabilities. We focus on ability not disability and celebrate our differences. Our Outstanding School in Mirfield are now looking for an experienced Class Teacher to join the dedicated and well-established team on a full-time basis.
Key aspects of your role
- Identifying needs, assessing levels of ability and planning sessions which will meet the requirements of the children and develop their learning.
- Effectively delivering the personalised curriculum ensuring that the individual needs and interests of the children in the setting are met and supporting other team members to do this.
- Supporting the children throughout the day in order to develop independence, facilitate participation and learning, and develop physical and communication skills.
- Contributing towards designing and managing a varied and balanced curriculum to meet the needs of every student within the resources available, in accordance with the mission and ethos of the school.
- To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for young children with a wide range of disabilities to develop a degree of independence and to improve quality of life.

Hollybank Trust is committed to Safeguarding vulnerable people, and our Safer Recruitment process requires all employees to have an Enhanced DBS check and reference checks in line with our Recruitment & Selection policy.
We will pay for your initial DBS check, unless you have a portable DBS, however, if the candidate leaves voluntarily within the first 12 months, £58.90 will be deducted from your final salary payment.
