Riverwalk School

Salary: MPR + SEN allowance

Hours: Full time

Contract: Permanent, required as soon as possible.

Riverwalk School are looking to appoint an experienced teacher who is engaging and friendly, with a passion for improving outcomes and life experiences for our pupils in the school with PMLD and SLD needs. You will support us to develop our curriculum and teaching skills further, ensuring that the momentum of school improvement is maintained. The Consortium Trust demonstrates and implements safeguarding protocols in all aspects of their working practices and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check, and this will include social media checks.

We are looking for a dedicated teacher, preferably experienced in working with students with SEND, who will:

  • Be a proven effective teacher who is willing to share good practice
  • Provide a rich, high quality, stimulating, and enabling learning environment, where resources can be accessed appropriately by all pupils
  • Ensure that each pupil has access to a broad, balanced, and relevant curriculum differentiated to meet individual needs
  • Use evidence-based and effective teaching approaches to meet the needs of all pupils and to develop a love of learning
  • Set exciting tasks relating to ‘real life’ experiences for the whole class, small group and self-initiated, with exploratory learning
  • Enjoy a challenge
  • Be passionate about developing learning characteristics in pupils
  • Adhere to policies and procedures and follow GDPR guidelines
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Have a desire to participate in school and Trust CPD opportunities
  • Have knowledge of Safeguarding
  • Be willing to contribute to the wider school through our curriculum enrichment & extended school offer.
