Isle of Ely Primary School, Ely, Cambridgeshire

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: Main Pay Scale - Upper Pay Scale £34,069 - £52,835

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 6 Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team from January. Isle of Ely Primary School is a place where high expectations, strong relationships, and a commitment to every child's success sit at the heart of what we do. Our pupils consistently achieve strong outcomes at the end of Key Stage 2, and we are looking for a teacher who will help build on this success while ensuring every child feels supported, challenged, and valued. Experience of teaching Year 6 and preparing pupils for SATs would be beneficial, but it is not essential. We welcome applications from talented teachers who share our ambition for children and are eager to develop their practice within a collaborative and supportive school community.

Summary Of Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned to the curriculum and school priorities.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, using assessment effectively to support learning.
  • Adapt teaching to meet pupils' individual needs and maintain high expectations for achievement.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through collaboration, curriculum development, and positive professional relationships.
  • Promote pupils' wellbeing, safeguard children, and maintain a safe, positive learning environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
