Kernow Learning is a multi-academy trust of 21 primary schools in Cornwall. We believe that our trust is at the precipice of something great; through a mix of collective synchronicity and autonomy, our schools are working together to provide strength so that they can stretch their offer beyond expectations in their drive for excellence. Our trust is not insular; we embrace collaboration, innovation, and development. Our English Hub supports schools across Cornwall to secure children’s early reading, whilst our Teaching School Hub, as a partner in One Cornwall, provides services to schools across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly in relation to areas such as the Early Career Framework and National Professional Qualifications.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed class teacher to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's learning and development within a caring and supportive Trust. The successful candidate will inspire confidence, curiosity and a love of learning, while creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is supported to thrive and achieve their potential.

This is a permanent part-time position, working Thursdays and Fridays each week. We are looking for a candidate who can make a long-term commitment to these working days and become an integral part of our school community within our nursery and reception class.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Inspire children to develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning.
  • Have high expectations for all pupils and a commitment to helping every child achieve their potential.
  • Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching that supports strong progress and positive outcomes.
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where children feel safe, valued and supported.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team and contribute to the wider life of the school.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
  • Share our commitment to safeguarding, promoting the welfare of children and supporting their wellbeing.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
